It appears that the app in the Mac App Store does not support MacOS Catalina. However, the build downloaded from your website does work on Catalina (even though they are the same version number). I am going to request a refund from Apple for the time being until Catalina is supported.
Please consider submitting a new app to the Mac App store with Catalina Support.
