Hi I'm not recommending you render to vrimg, they are huge and require converting - set the vray raw path with the .exr extension and it'll export to a multichannel exr (use the split in addition if you want split channels). The RPM vray auto pathing has a dropdown to select either exr or vrimg. grant

The 'XML submission file write failed' is triggered when it can't find the file it's trying to write - it writes it, looks for it for up to 10 seconds, and then gives up, that file you see is an intermediate file, it's the file that is generated from that that it can't write. Have you tried starting...
