Vray Cache Manager - AutoPath .EXR vs .VRIMG

I'm attempting to use the VFB workflows described in threads and .
Common Params > Save File and VFB disabled.
RPM Vray Cache Manager > Auto Raw Path and Force Enable built-in Vray Buffer enabled.

Max 2019.3
Vray 3.60.05
RPM 6.64

My extension dropdown in the Raw Output Manager section is set to exr. If I Choose Output > Autobuild all paths, the output path set in "V-Ray raw image file" field of the Vray Frame Buffer render settings rollout, displays properly, a .exr extension. However, as soon as I hit netsubmit, the output path changes to .vrimg. As a result I get .vrimg files saved instead of .exrs.

Edit: I should add that we're submitting to Backburner. Does using Deadline instead not have all these requirements in order to get the vray frame buffer to work?

It should be controlled by that extension dropdown in the raw manager, I'll have to try it here.

Could you post here or email to me a screen capture of your raw output manager dialog?

Forum isn't liking my image attachments, either too large @ 350KB or getting a warning icon 'error parsing server response' will send via email.
Repro:

New Scene
Open RPM
Autocreate Pass & Camera
Uncheck Save file & VFB from Common in RPM.
Open RPM Vray Cache/Raw Manager
Enable Force Enable built-in Vray Buffer.

Output > Autobuild All Paths (dialog shows Vray Raw File Output window title & filename indicates format set by vray cache manager)
VFB output path set correctly.

Then as soon as I hit netsubmit, the output path for frame buffer changes to ".vrimg" - Literally just that, no actual folders or pathing specified, so it seems to be using the pathing from the regular Max output (which hadn't been set yet in this empty file)
