3dsmax for 2020

Postby admin » Mon Jun 24, 2019 11:25 pm

Hi

RPManager for 3dsmax 2020 has been released as a paid upgrade, US$60 per license:

- Vray next support is improved, specifically the render element access through the RPM UI.

- Support for Corona - the procedural UI needs a *lot* of layout work, but it is functional and render elements are supported through the UI (use the standard 3dsmax render UI if you can't stand the RPM one).
*The plan is that the layout of these rollouts will be externally editable using the built in 3dsmax rollout editor when I sort a couple of things out, so you'll be able to sort out your own changes at that point.

- Improved support for scaled displays (ie running a 4k monitor at 150% just so you can read the text)

- Simply supporting keeping RPManager going

Any licenses purchased in the last year quality for a free upgrade.

The 'other gear' plugins have also been updated, links to both can be found here:

http://www.rpmanager.com/news.htm

The 2 pass license installer has options for which eval license to install, so you can try it out.

cheers,
grant

Note that with a new 3dsmax installation you will likely need to set the folder permissions as well, ie

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=16

that should fix the missing tab buttons and unreadable lists. If you liked the colour setup from your older RPManager setup, you can copy the

RPMUIColors.ini

from your old install, from .../scripts/RPManager

Hi

There is an issue with this build on versions prior to 2020 - it'll need a new build to sort it out, until then only use this with 3dsmax 2020.

That should be sorted out now - the download page now links to 7.01.

If not let me know.

Hi

7.02 has been linked on the download page - the render alerts dialog wasn't handling scaled displays, the buttons were missing (they were somewhere below the dialog - making the dialog very short would bring the almost back into view...)

cheers,
