File Write Failed - MAX2020/RPM 7.51

Hi Grant,

I am using RPM 7.51 and MAX2020.3 on Windows10 (latest updates) currently (haven't used MAX/RPM in quite a while). RPM seems to function fine but when I have a simple scene and Submit Selected to Netrendering, it tries to submit the job but then has an error:

XMLsubmission file write failed - skipping

and no job files are written to disk. I've tried several versions of RPM and all result in the file write failed.


If I submit the same scene to Backburner via MAX2020, the job is written to disk and renders via BB just fine.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong here?

OK, I got it sorted. I found this post here:

It seemed to be a permissions problem. I created a folder called C:/TempRPM and edited the RenderPassManager.ini file to add the entries:

[NetworkSubmit]
TempDir=C:/TempRPM

and now it properly submits the job to BB.
